Derby

Derby and Rebecca

Knowing that Harry would need to retire soon, I casually started looking and very quickly found this fabulous young Oldenburg bred by Ilona English of Summit Sporthorses. I bought Derby in July of 2010 at Hilltop Farm in Maryland which is only about 30 minutes from home. He is in full training there with Rebecca Cord who is doing such a fabulous job with him and trying her best to teach me how to ride properly. Dressage continues to be the most humbling sport of all time!

(German for magician/wizard)

Harry w/ Colleen during a Jim Kofford Clinic. After spending the winter with Derby at Hilltop Farm, Harry is now home in full retirement to hang out with Daisey and the donkeys.

Peso's Little Daisey

Due to Daisey hurting herself in the fall of 2006, she can't be shown anymore, but she's still a great pet .

Since the acquisition of the miniature donkeys, we built a barn and Daisey moved home. Sleepy is pictured below and our new barn with Daisey and Sleepy in the aisle and Dreamer outside. I keep the doors and stalls open so they can all come and go as they please. Daisey loves her relaxed atmosphere and 'her girls', who she likes to boss around!
